The Tower of Refuge
It’s been a very long time since I’ve been able to post a review to anything in Lynch’s TimeDrifter series so I’m very happy to provide some insight to readers on this third edition.
If you’ve made it this far into the series, then you already know a lot about what brings these characters together and what makes them who they are. Book 3 is not much different from the other books in terms of concept but there are new characters and a new sense of desperation as they make their journey alongside Brendan to help him steal time.
Anna and Brendan are alive and kicking in this book and they are not going to give up easily. Desperate to gain just one more moment together, our protagonists set out to take care of things on their own. Travelling across two continents, taking twists and turns, and confronting evil—this book brings all the action and fantasy from the first two parts of the series with an entertaining and creative edge to it.
I’m not a huge fan of time travelling but I’m 3 books deep into this series, so I’d say it’s a strong recommendation even for those who are a bit skeptical. If you like fantasy, YA fiction, and any form of time travelling then you should grab a copy of any book in Lynch’s series. I promise its worth your time.
